“I have two daughters, both born at home, and Jacqueline was an invaluable support during my postpartum journey both times.
She was so incredible the first time, that I called her as soon as I began sourcing my support team for the birth of my second baby. Having her in my home gave me a postpartum experience straight out of Kimberly Johnson’s “The Fourth Trimester,” and enabled me to experience birth as the right of passage it is.
Jacqueline’s presence meant I was able to relax into sacred, conscious, and intuitive union with my newborns. I was also able to connect deeply with my husband, so the weeks following the births of my babies were peaceful and full of shared laughter and tears—we really soaked in the opportunity to bond with our babies and each other. Jacqueline’s support during this vulnerable time laid the foundation for our journey forward as a connected family.
She cooked deeply nourishing meals with a focus on ayeurvedic principles—warming the body, lighting the digestive fire—and ancestral eating (ie: well-sourced, nutrient-dense whole foods). I didn’t have to worry about feeding my family, and I was able to rest well knowing that my nutrition was optimized for postpartum recovery, tissue healing, and breastfeeding.
All the thankless background tasks disappeared from my radar: the kitchen was always clean, the endless laundry that a newborn somehow produces was just silently taken care of, the fridge was stocked, and meals/ elixirs just appeared on my bedside table in rotation. I was able to retreat, sleep, and bond with my babies in the cocoon I craved, and the energy of our home was so honoured and protected. I felt cared for and at peace, and was able to just hold my newborn and integrate my journey through the portal of birth. I honestly can’t imagine trying to access that state while simultaneously managing our household.
Jacqueline’s capacity to hold emotional space was another huge aspect of the support she offered. She has such a gentle and wise spirit, and a deep respect for birth as inherently sacred. She was available without being intrusive, I felt so grateful for her presence and just wanted to process everything with her. She was such an incredible witness, and read the room well, giving us lots of privacy and time to be together undisturbed too.
Having Jacqueline in our home was really the biggest gift to our family, and I feel so grateful that I was able to transition into motherhood with so much space, love, and rest.”

“Birth is wild, and becoming a mother is such a sacred journey. With the birth of my first child, I did not know all of the ways that I would need support and I was so thankful that I had Jacqueline there to support our family.
She came very promptly when I needed her and basically took care of everything so my husband and I could relax and enjoy our new role as parents. She cared for me in physical ways (massages and running me baths), in emotional/spiritual ways (provided a non-judge mental space for me to debrief my birthing process) and in practical ways (constantly cleaning our home, cooking us meals, doing laundry, and bringing me fresh baby supplies). She even helped me give our baby her first bath! Every time I woke up from a nap, there was water and a snack beside my bed. I found myself emotional many times as I was overwhelmed with gratitude for her presence. The thing about Jacqueline is you never have to ask, she has eyes for everything and has a way of being there without you hardly knowing. She is respectful, reverent, grounded, attuned, and selfless. We appreciated having her so much with our first birth, that we asked her to be present for our second birth as well. She supported us in all of the ways she had the first time, but the second time, she took on an additional role of being there for my first child while mom and dad needed to rest. My daughter adored her as she was able to connect with her in a special way, which helped her transition to the role of big sister. Our family is forever grateful for Jacqueline and her support as we journeyed through becoming parents both times.”

“Jacqueline’s gift is supporting the mother in her birth experience.
It’s not easy to put into words. Having her present for the home birth of my first child was life changing.
Her touch and words empowered me through the birthing journey and gave me confidence through the new feelings and contractions my body was going through.
She helped me trust my body, giving me quiet strong encouragement which allowed me to remain calm and never fear what I was feeling.”
